Snow Shoeing & Cross-country Skiing

Snowshoeing and cross-country skiing are terrific ways to explore nature’s serene and beautiful landscape while enjoying great exercise. Virtually the entire National Forest is open to snowshoeing and cross-country skiing, with options ranging from beginner-level terrainto challenging peaks and backcountry. The Eastern Plumas region includes the Plumas-Eureka State Park, the Lakes Basin Recreation Area, and the Lake Davis Recreational Area which include both marked and groomed trails, and unmarked routes.
