Christmas Tree Cutting

Create your own old-fashioned family tradition when you visit Eastern Plumas County and cut your own Christmas tree. The tantalizing smells of fresh pine, hot chocolate and hot apple cider await you and the happy memories last a lifetime!

Christmas tree cutting permits go on sale for the Plumas National Forest on November 1^st each year. A map of the tree cutting areas and regulations are included with the permit. Permits for 2011 are $10 and are good until December 24, 2011. Christmas tree permits are available in Eastern Plumas County at Chalet View Lodge and J & J's Grizzly Store, Willliams House Museum, Mountain Hardware and Sports, River Pines Resort, Happy Hunting Ground, and Beckworth Ranger Station.
